Man, I really need to get some new friends, or additional friends to the PMA guys, that's the problem with only hanging out with one group of people, when they get together, and you're not invited, you're stuck with nothing to do. I'm glad that they're all active, but I'm starting to feel left out, I wish the girls in SAI were closer. On a higher note however, Adam is here this weekend which is great! I always like it, cause it's almost as if he hasn't left. I'm really not paying attention at all today in class. I had to tape record this and theory for Matt, as he's sick today, hope he's feeling better before noon, since we have our first quintet coaching then, (w/ Aley, we're NOT happy that he won't let us call our group Molto Ritardo :( what can you do :( nothing...

Maybe I'll try to start hanging with Kathryn/Katie more as we have good times when we are together...or try getting to know some dorm people, or chilling with the last year group.....I have a feeling that I'll be feeling like this a lot next year, as they'll all be living together, and I always feel horrible intruding. Oh well, well maybe I should pay attention to more of this binary form mozart crap.. later.

I could have sworn that there was a hair salon somewhere near campus that gives you a head massage when you get your haircut...but why can't I remember it. If anyone knows, let me know ;) I think I might get a haircut, we'll see, because I sort of want to grow it out...but it's at that annoying length right now. night.

I have 19 credits, man am I dumb. I relish times like this when I can just sit around in my robe listening to the newsies. Today wasn't bad, as I snuggled in my bed all morning reading ed policy, soon I will go practice and read some history before SAI tonight. I sort of want teriyaki but I might resist and have a slimfast shake, as I've been REALLY bad with my diet these past few days. I also have my audition for the ed. school this week. How exciting. I am really excited about my quintet though, it looks like it will be really fun. I just hope I can find time to SERF and practice when I'm not too worn out. Well, I should get dressed, and then get back to work. out.

So, one of my friends is getting married on July 24th, and I'll be playing the organ. What fun, it's weird, how it's starting already, she's only 20 and him 21, she graduated with me in 2002, and married in 2004....NUTS! But Congrats to Megs, I hope you're very happy.

Well, I've been in Madison for 5 days now. I'm loving my room. It's got a walk-in closet and MORE than enough space, it's GREAT! And I've been doing pretty good sticking to Slimfast, and I've gone to the SERF everyday. Now I just need to keep it up. I've paid most of my bills, bought my books, and now I just need to write the letter to the Ed faculty, and classes to start. Hopefully tonight we'll have an end of break bash. Later.

I'll be in Madison in about 12 or so hours. So my break has been very blah. I've read at least 2 books a day, and played tons of scrabble and cards. Very exciting. Got my christmas presents from Adam today. He did a good job :) I should go to sleep. I went to see Somethings Gotta Give and then to the Motherlode with Julie this evening. Then got back here and loaded the car. Now i get to go to sleep and wake up at 4:30 tomorrow morning so we can start the LONG drive to Madtown. Then once we get there, we will cut my carpet down to size, haul everything in. leave it there, then run to Steve and Barry's buy some bday presents for my dad to bring back, run for teriyaki, and then they begin the drive back, and I get to move in. Hooray, what fun.

It'll be nice to be back in Madison...this is what I want to do before classes start.

I HATE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grrr!!!!!!!!! My flight got cancelled...they couldn't reschedule, before the strike. It wasn't fated for me to go maybe...with the STRIKE AND THE SNOW!!!!!!!!! So just when I hit my limit for the UP, thinking I was leaving tomorrow, I CAN'T GO!!!!! ARGH!!!!!!!! So...I'm stuck here for another week. Sorry...I'm mad. So I got a refund, and will just book my flight down there for spring break :( well yay for that, but nay for no january :( I don't get to see my love this month...or last month :( We will stand the test of time though! CAUSE I LOVE YOU AK!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, life hasn't been very exciting. This is officially the fourth time I've gotten out of my pj's since I've been home. They're just so much more comfortable (I still shower, and change into different pjs) I've been playing A LOT of cards lately, rummy, euchre, skip-bo, not to mention building a puzzle. I haven't been doing much playing of the tuba, as I always get the urge to play at like midnight when everyone is sleeping. and I think I've gained weight....UGH! I'm sick of having no clothes to wear. I think I may go back on Slimfast. Sorry this is always so random. Bills to pay...ugh, christmas really set me back. I hope my dad decides to drive me when I go back to school so that it'll save me the cash and pain of a greyhound ride...I can't imagine doing it with a bookbag, suitcase, and my tuba in its gig bag.

I hope everyone had a great new years. Mine was better than I expected...I went to Nates and chilled with Twinkie, Watt, Adam, Jules, Mel, and my big bro Nate....called a lot of people. I stopped drinking around 3ish, and then drove home at 4 so I could crash in my own bed. Good night, even though there were some unwelcome crashers. Glad I talked to all the people I called. It was nice catching up.

I went skating today, and played outside with my sisters (threw snowballs, shoveled, pushed them in their sleds). Tomorrow we're going to my Gram's for sauna and dinner. I can't wait, it's always so relaxing. One of my favorite things about being home is having a kitchen. I've been cooking A LOT! Today I made BBQ chicken pizza, then yesterday I made beef with broccoli and egg drop soup.

I hung out with Head, Scott, Jules and Mel, for a couple nights it was great. Watching movies, going out to lunch (+Cat), catching up (and catching the GREAT sale at bath and body works), playing PICTIONARY (sort of a mental throwback to DIRTY PICTIONARY) Ok....well I may crash....or something. Best.

Well Christmas was good. didn't wake up as early as expected---I think the kids got me up a little before 8. We were done opening presents by 8:30 and I went back to sleep till noon. I got a coffee pot (for tea/cocoa), body ball, pj's, 3 books, s-video cable, christmas socks, a bowl, and not much more. For my grandparents gift, we're all going to go out to lunch (probably chinese) and then shopping at the mall to pick out our individual gifts. One thing I find funny is how my aunt gave me the same kind of lotion as last year...maybe I can trade my mom for her scent....

Home...ahh, lots of snow, and not much to do. I love it for now. Went to Jules to drop off her presents, I got a book of short stories and some earrings from her. Making cookies to decorate now. Gram just came with her presents for the kids, and I gave her the pot, and chocolate that I got her. Now it's just countdown to ham rollups and shrimp tonight. And then it'll be time to play some more games. Then time for Santa to come. What fun! Saw Megs, and Jake and Marty yesterday. Caught up with some friends. Good times..though another one bites the dust as Jake is 'taking the semester
' off next semester, and moving down to AZ and then hopefully going to ASU, I hope he goes ba ck. I practiced for awhile yesterday, probably won't today...more tomorrow, then I have to every day until I leave on the 7th. I sort of remember to do my breathing exercises...once I have books to read, I'll be able to read and do them at the same time. Need to do laundry....well Have a merry christmas everyone! And Jerry, itunes can't be that bad!

Well my plans for the day, include.....eat a pasty (hopefully Tony's is open), take a sauna, wrap some presents. Well with my low carb diet I just eat eggs or meat for breakfast, so that takes me away from cereal, and toast and those kind of things I like. I also started doing my breathing exercises yesterday. I'm going to play today, see if I can build it up to 2 hrs since I haven't played since my last lesson. Driving in the snow is weird, I'm not used to it yet. I'll also call Jules and see what she's up to. Apparently there's a big new year's party, just like last year, but I don't know if I'm going to go. Cause we can't park our cars there, which means that I can't leave when I want to. I don't want to be stuck in that house all night. That'd be lame. Ok...well rachel is calling for me to play Sorry. later!

Well...I'm home. Up in the UP where there is lots of snow. I'm going on a low-carb diet, and hopefully will start working out everyday. A bunch of people in my family are sick :( I cleaned today...the house is a mess. So I'll have to put it back into shape. Sometimes my brother (josh) scares me....he just needs to be happier. And he can't really do that with the friends he has dragging him down. I'm not going to the Sunday School program...I actually have an excuse, as my sister is sick, so I'm going to keep her company. Maybe we'll play a game or something. (Teach my family euchre!) Chicago was a lot of fun, the CSO played John's piece and it went well, learned stuff at the conference, partied with everyone. Worst luck in the world! So today, I got up at 8, packed from 8-10. Then failed my theory exam miserably from 10-12. Then quickly ate pokey sticks, then moved my room out from 12:30-2. Then went looking for apartments...found a great one. Came back, filled out the apps, and we just went to turn them in, and some girls had just brought in apps for the same apartment...SO THEY GOT IT! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At least I get to have choco chip pancakes tomorrow morning, and watch Lord of the Rings ALL DAY! Though I won' t get any studying done...and because of that, probably FAIL my final on Weds. But what can I do about it....NOTHING! I'm just going to fail EVERYTHING! I need rest...I need a break! Please let Saturday come REALLY SOON!

Didn't get much studying done today. I did one thing though. I now have a brass quintet for next semester!!!! Hooray! I really need to study a shitload tomorrow...after I take my theory exam, and move all my stuff into storage. Man, I really should NOT be doing Lord of the Rings all day on Tuesday.....I'm truly going to fail my history final....goddamn this blows! Ok...to bed so I can wake up tomorrow to finish packing, and start learning my listening....all before my 10 am final.

Well TubaChristmas was fun today....christmas carols with 104 tubas and euphs. Bought a scarf! Then we went to Brats and i got a BRAT! yum. Then back to the dorms, to pack some more. Studied for awhile...got 12 out of 20 Weiss Taruskin readings done, now I may define some terms for awhile. And then it's sleepy time for sheena. Tomorrow won't be too bad...easy day.
