Let's see if I can remember more of what I did.

Tuesday:
Hmmm, what did I do today (there's a little rundown in the previous entry). ... Ahh, woke up, met some of the group at 11 at Kappeli, had some tea and a yummy croissant. 5 people didn't show up....big surprise.. We then proceeded to a few places I had been too, and then had to keep waiting around for the younger kids in our group. I was rather annoyed all day. Then we went to Uspenski, and to the Library, where Tom really pissed me off. First of all, I thought it was dumb that we were touring a library in the first place, our group is so loud and annoying, so they went in, and I reluctantly followed. That was bad enough, but then they proceeded to go into the reading rooms that had NO TOURIST signs everywhere, so I just took off and left. Went to eat lunch at the cafeteria, and then had to wait and wait for Tom, so I could figure out the next place on our list. Then more sightseeing, then I took a nap from 4:30-9:30, and went out with Melissa, Willy and Kjersti to Molly Malone's where we heard a Finnish (swedish?) band play american covers, and then left to go to a hampurilainen stand, and from there we ended up at a gay bar in Kallio, after that I went home and slept.

Wednesday:
Today we went to Estonia. So we got to the boat at around 7:30, it was a COLD day. Kjersti never showed up, and Willy and Melissa forgot their passports. We got on the boat and Lugene, Tom, Jere, and Kirsten had the breakfast buffet. Then I proceeded to start feeling really seasick, so I went and found a spot on the floor and slept for the 3 hrs. Getting to Tallin we met some Americans who showed us around the city. I loved it there, the medeival fortress, old buildings. I took a ton of pictures. Some will come here soon. It was freezing though! I was running from church to church, just so I could try and get warm in between. Then we went to dinner at this medeival restaurant. We decided to get a feast, which was cool. But we started the meal off with Pepper Schnapps....ewww, super gross. Then the food was really good, quail eggs, pickles, wild boar, bear sausage, bread, onion jam, berry jam, liver pate, some elk meat with horseradish, duck, salmon...just tons of food. Tried 3 different kinds of beer, cinnamon beer was good, the strong herb beer was gross (tasted like the pepper schnapps) and I had the strong honey beer which was good, but almost too flavorful, I could barely finish a glass it was so overpowering. Then for dessert there was this milk and honey pudding which was delicious, and finished with a berry schnapps (which tasted like the pepper schnapps with a couple berries thrown in.) Leila got really drunk, and she was rather amusing. Then the best part, it was 5:40, our boat left at 6, it was a 15 min. walk, and the waiter had still not brought our bills. So we left one person to pay the whole thing. Something like 5000 krona (or whatever estonian money is) and we literally ran the entire way to the dock. Luckily our prof runs fast, because he had them stop the boat for us. We got there safely, all of us, though Leila was crying through customs, and Lugene collapsed in the boat. I hadn't run that much in a long time, so I wasn't doing very well either. I took dramamine at the restaurant so that I wouldn't get sick on the way back, but it was actually much worse, and I couldn't sleep so after buying all the souvenir chocolate, I just sat around miserable for the entire trip back. We got there and Kjersti was waiting for us at the boat dock, wanting to go out, but all of us were too exhausted, and I just went home and hung out with Maija and Jukka before going to bed. I had to get up at 4 on Thursday to catch the plane back.

Thursday:
I woke up on time at 4, got ready, and got to the airport in time. Willy and Melissa got there at the same time, and we got in line. Everyone else showed up except for Kjersti. No one knows what happened to her. As we have no way of getting ahold of her, there was nothing we could do. We left, and just left her there. Hope she found her way back to the states and they didn't charge her too much. Bought some souvenirs in Amsterdam as I didn't get to buy any in Talin like I had planned to. Got to Chicago, it was 51 degrees! It was so nice, we just hung around for the hour outside, waiting for our bus to come. Then got on, and drove the 3 hours to Madison, and Alex picked me up at the Union and drove me home. I went to sleep at 9, and slept until 9. Now I am dead, and have to work until 11, and have a long day of working tomorrow (10-2 at the keydesk, 4-12 at the terrace).

All in all though, it was a great trip. Super short, but I met some great people who I hope I can stay in contact with, if I ever go back. Today was a long day of running errands and getting myself in order, but I suppose that it is necessary. Still have some more things to do this weekend. I work Sunday too from 10:30-4, then SAI from 6:30-8:30. But in between I need to work on my e-portfolio (have a meeting to start it on Monday, I'm way behind schedule on this) and then I need to finish the last couple applications...and then start student teaching. i hope this semester just flies!
