Well- Monday night was really fun. We went out with a ton of etnology and folklore students and they ´showed us finnish culture´. So I ate at a sausage stand, after watching a fight, had the typical finnish shots, and went in the typical finnish dive bars. At first everyone was a little awkward, but by the second bar or so we spent most of the time in deep conversations about just everything. I still feel bad that I could not speak Finnish more, it´s just a little intimidating I guess, though I suppose it may be the same way for speaking English- however, they´ve had just a little more! I just got done taking a nap, and now I need to decide if I want to try and find the group tonight and go out, or if I just want to catch up on my sleep and be fresh for Tallin tomorrow. Today I got up, went to Kapelli, had some tea and a delicious croissant. Then we went to a couple of the places that we went to yesterday, and Uspenski Katedrali, and then to lunch again yliopistossa. Then I got sidetracked on the way to the Design Museum by Marimekko again, so I bought a couple more things. Then the design museum, and the arabia factory outlet. I came back here then, and have just been napping off and on since, I suppose I should call Melissa to see what they were doing tonight. I was going to sauna, but then I fell asleep, soI guess I won´t be doing that.
With all the talk of me moving here, I am seriously considering it. However, I do not know if I really want to move to a just as cold place. I suppose I´ll apply for some jobs for fun, and see if anything pans out. If I know anything, I know some of the people are fun. So go out for a bit tonight maybe, then Tallin all day tomorrow, either out or sleep on Weds. night, and leaving too ungodly early in the morning on Thursday. I´ll be home before my postcards, since I haven´t seen a mailbox to send them off yet.
Terveisin!
Sheena
